We use the following two online learning platforms for student homework. Please find on this page information about how they work and how parents/carers can access them.
If you have any questions about homework being set, you should initially contact the classroom teacher.

Sparx
Sparx is a collection of systems designed to develop the learning habits of students and further their progress. We currently set homework using the following systems. Tasks will be set and due to be submitted on Friday of each week.
Sparx Maths
Sparx Maths creates an hour's worth of practice questions based on the topics that have been taught in class that week. The questions are personalised to each individual learner to match their current level of understanding.
Sparx Reader
After completing an initial reading level test, students are offered suitable books to read from the Sparx Reader library. Students are asked questions at regular intervals to check their understanding.
Sparx Science
Students are set practice questions based on topics that they have studied during their learning journey to date. The questions are personalised to each individual learner to match their current level of understanding.
Teams
Students will be set work through the Assignments section of Teams. Students regularly use Teams and the Microsoft suite of apps in school and will know how to log into their account. If your child has difficulty accessing Teams out of school, you should email .
Compliance
Homework is an important part of learning, and we want our students to fully engage with it. If homework is not completed on time, or is not of high enough quality, your son or daughter’s teacher will allocate them a place at a supervised lunchtime catch-up session, where they will be supported to complete the work. Failure to attend this session will result in an after-school detention.
