Results day information

Results Days

Please make a note of the arrangements for the forthcoming results days:

Year 13 – Thursday 17 August 2017 – Results available from 9.00am onwards

Year 12 – Thursday 17 August 2017 – Results available from 10.00am onwards

Mr Martin will be available until 1pm to discuss options and next steps.

Year 11 – Thursday 24 August 2017 – Results available from 10.00am onwards

Please note if you are joining Manor School in September as a new student in Year 12 please bring written confirmation of your GCSE results in with you on Thursday 24 August 2017 or email a copy to: nicky.armitage@manorschool.northants.sch.uk

Start of autumn term

On Tuesday 5 September 2017, students will need to report to the Learning Resource Centre at 8:30am.

Induction tasks

These tasks are intended for all new Year 12 students to complete. Information can be found on our sixth form page. Students are expected to complete the relevant task for each subject they will be studying and bring it to their first lesson.

Timetables

Students will be required to attend registration at 8:35am each morning and to use all non-contact lessons for supervised private study. There will be an opportunity to amend subject choices during the first week. Home study will only be granted during afternoon lessons and will be negotiated after timetables have been finalised.  

Dress Code

Post-16 students are expected to come to school in smart, professional clothing and footwear. Clothing should be appropriate for a working day at school and to a standard which would be acceptable in a business environment.

  • Smart trousers (no bright colours, denim material, jeans or jean style, jogging bottoms, leggings, sportswear or shorts)
  • Dresses and skirts - knee length or just above (no bright colours or denim material)
  • Formal shirt, blouse or polo shirt (with a collar) (small logos on the chest of the top are acceptable however large logos are not)
  • Smart jumper/cardigan (plain colours only)
  • Smart shoes or boots with a sensible heel – leather or leather effect (no Ugg style boots, trainers, flip flops, canvas shoes)
  • Blazers/suit jackets/ties – may be worn but are not compulsory
  • Jewellery must be discrete (no facial piercings)
  • Make up and hair must be discrete and natural colours only

NOT PERMITTED:

  • Sportswear – except during PE lessons
  • Hooded Tops
  • Shorts
  • Casual T-Shirts, cropped tops or vests (with or without logos)
  • Hats worn inside
  • No denim – including jeans, denim jackets or denim shirts
  • Leggings

In the first instance, students will be advised if clothing is inappropriate. Should they need be continually reminded they will be sent home to change. If students or parents/carers require clarification please contact Mr Martin.

Football Academy

Following a meeting on Wednesday 28 June 2017, we would like to confirm that our contract with Peterborough United FC is due to end in August 2018. This contract will be reviewed at Easter 2018 and parents/carers and students will be informed accordingly. Please note this will not affect academic studies, these will be maintained for the full two years from September 2017 to July 2019.
