Mathematics at Key Stage 4 follows the Edexcel Linear Specification leading to examination at the end of Year 11 for all students using the updated 9-1 specification for first examination in 2016. The examination can be sat at Foundation Level and Higher Level with decisions regarding the correct route for each student being reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that each student maximises their progress.
Progression throughout Key Stages 3 and 4 is mapped to ensure that the work progresses logically from Key Stage 2 with the emphasis on building skills, providing support for those students who need it, and providing extension for the most able.
