A close shave for charity

 In News

English teacher Mr Guest and Principal Mr Davenport had their beards shaved off on Wednesday 17 January in order to raise money for the upcoming school trips to Zanzibar and Ecuador.

Raunds Town Mayor Cllr Nick Beck was invited to the event and also opted to have some of his own beard shaved. Alfie from Raunds Barber Shop – a former Manor School student – kindly offered his services for the occasion. Staff and students donated money to witness the event which took place in the Sports Hall during lunchtime. A cake stand had also been set up to raise additional funds.

So far the event has raised £800, with the money to be split between the two school trips.
